Now, the use of Google has increased to the extent that people often keep google as their homepage. Since search queries on Google have been a nature of human now. If you are on the internet, rarely would be the day you don’t open Google.

In this guide, I will make you know, how to make google homepage with the step by step guide along with the screenshots.

Firstly, we will start the guide from Google Chrome. The tutorial is given below.

Step 1: First of all to set google as my homepage, go to your chrome browser and open the Settings by clicking on the menu bar( the three horizontal lines) at the top right corner.

Step 2: Now, in the setting page click on the set pages under the on startup section. Have a look at the screenshot below.

Step 3: After clicking on the set pages a new small window will popup Startup pages. Here, you will be asked to enter the URL of the page or website you want to make as your browser’s homepage. Simply enter www.google.com and click on OK.

That’s it!! You have now successfully made the google as your home page. Isn’t the procedure too easy?

Now moving to the next guide, i.e. how to make google your homepage in Firefox. The step by step guide with the screenshot is given below.

Step 1: First of all open the firefox and click on tools at the top of the page. Afterward, select Options from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: After clicking on the Options, you will be landed to a page where you have to select the General Tab.

Step 3: Now, In the input field next to “Home Page” type the website URL you desire to keep as a home page or, type www.google.com if you want to set google as homepage.

That’s all!! You are done. This was all about setting Google as the home page in google chrome and Mozilla Firefox If you are a user of internet explorer, then also you can set up the google as your home page.

The procedure is quite similar to Firefox but with a slight difference, which I have shown below.

Step 1: Go to tools from the menu bar at the top of the page. And select Internet Options.

Step 2: After clicking on the Internet Options, a new window will pop up. Here, in the General section, you will see a text box under the heading “Home Page”. If you notice there is a website written which is your current homepage.

Step 3: Now, if you want to make google as the home page type http://www.google.com in the text box and click on OK and you are done.

Another way of making Google or any other website as the homepage is directly going to the particular site. Once you are on the website (you want to set as the homepage) follow up the same procedure I described above and click on the use the current page instead of typing the URL.

The website which is open on the browser would be set to the home page. This was all about how to you can make Google your homepage. By using the above-explained method you can’t only set google as homepage but any other website you desire to.

Moreover, In the above-mentioned web browsers, you can set multiple websites as the home page that you frequently visit. The procedure would be the same as described above. Preferences of multiple websites can be adjusted within your browser’s setting options.
