We hear a lot about the new methods used by voyeurs in the fitting rooms of stores. One of them turns out to be quite surprising: you will find it hard to believe, but the mirror itself of the cabin is to blame. Although it seems harmless and usually does not arouse suspicion, it is now a tool used by bad guys to invade your privacy.
The very idea of being watched while you try on clothes is particularly disturbing. How to avoid voyeurism? To make sure no one is spying on you through the dressing room mirror, all you have to do is perform the “nail test”. It’s the best way to get to the bottom of it and change safely.
When you undress in the fitting room of a store, you are far from thinking that you can be spied on by sneaky and malicious people. However, without becoming paranoid either, no one is safe from certain prying eyes. And voyeurism does exist. Generally speaking, voyeurs mainly use spy gadgets. Therefore, if you have any doubt that someone is spying on you, the first thing to do is to look for a possible hidden camera.
But, for some time now, we have been witnessing an increasingly widespread phenomenon: voyeurs use a Venetian mirror to spy on their victims. It is a pane covered on one side with a layer of metal which reflects light. However, the majority of people see only fire in it and think that it is only an ordinary mirror. There is, however, an easy way to check if the dressing room mirror is safe or not. No need to disassemble it, to try to detect a camera hidden behind the glass, the trick that we are going to reveal to you is very easy to apply.
“The nail test”: the quick and easy trick to betray voyeurs!
Thanks to this little test, you will be able to make sure that it is indeed an ordinary mirror, or on the contrary that there is an unhealthy deception. How does this trick work? Just touch the mirror with the tip of your fingernail. Observe what happens: if you see a space between the tip of your finger and its reflection in the mirror, then you can be reassured, this is a real mirror. If, on the other hand, you notice that there is no space and the tip of your fingernail comes into direct contact with its reflection in the mirror, then you have reason to believe that someone is watching you. the other side. Indeed, if the back of the glass is transparent, it means that you can easily see through it.
As a precautionary measure, it would always be wise to carry out the “nail test” before you even undress. By the way, a similar test can also be performed in hotel rooms to make sure no one is spying on you through mirrors.
Whether in a dressing room, in a hotel room or in a guest house, it would always be good to calm your suspicions by doing your own little personal verification. Thus, you will no longer have any doubts and you will be able to feel much more at ease. Comfort always comes with peace of mind.
Here are some tips for tracking voyeurs:
- To know if the mirror is simply glued to the wall or if it overlooks another room, you can use a flashlight to illuminate it well. If you notice that the lighting reveals a background with strange shapes, then it is likely that someone is spying on you from the other side.
- With the same method of the flashlight (even that of your Smartphone will do the trick), you can check the other mirrors of your room in order to identify the presence or not of hidden cameras.
- Take a walk around the room and try to watch for any unusual objects in the room. If you come across something suspicious, move it away from your line of sight.
