Five quality travel blogs—including this one—now co-host #TheWeeklyPostcard Blog Link-up every Friday. It is open to submissions for 48 hours. All travel blogs are welcome to participate.
Here’s how to join our blog linkup.
What is a blog linkup, anyway?
A blog linkup—sometimes called a linky, link up, blog hop, or link party—is an invitation for other blogs to share a link to a post on their site. The goal is to give both linker and host additional blog traffic and comment love.
It is also a great way to build an active blogging community and to introduce the host blog’s readers to other blogs.
What is so great about a blog linkup?
- Readers: This is an opportunity to discover new and interesting travel blogs. Every writer has a distinctive style and focus and each blog’s design is unique.
- Bloggers: This is a great opportunity to share your work and find new bloggers to meet and collaborate with. It will be a great way to get to know each other, so join us and add a link to your own post every week.
Meet the co-hosts:
- Dan & Linda — As We Saw It (that’s us!)
- Anda — Travel Notes & Beyond
- Lyn & Steve — A Hole in My Shoe
- Samiya — The Selim Family Raasta
- Vlad — Eff It, I’m On Holiday
How to participate
- The link-up opens on Friday at noon (PST) and closes on Sundays at noon (PST) every week. During this 48-hour window you can link up your travel posts by clicking on the highlighted blue button at the end of our latest post featured in #The Weekly Postcard.
- Add a link back to this blog at the end of your post . At the end of the article you will see a graphic and a gray box of HTML text beneath our #TheWeeklyPostcard logo just like the one here. Copy the logo code in the gray box and add it to the post you are sharing. (Add it via your Text editor; don’t use the Visual window.) To be fair to all, posts without the badge will be removed.

How to make this successful.
- We ask you to read, comment and share at least three of the links from your fellow participants during the week. This will ensure everyone gets a fair share at feeling appreciated. (As a suggestion, you may wish to begin with those who leave comments on your own story.)
- Spread the word about this blog link-up on your Social Media by using #TheWeeklyPostcard hashtag.
- Finally, we would also appreciate you following us and our hard working co-hosts across all social media (you will find our links top right).
