Insulating your home generally requires significant financial sacrifices. But it remains essential, if you want to obtain a sufficiently warm interior, in winter. This is why energy renovations are encouraged by the State. However, it is quite possible to heat your house when you have little money. The proof with this trick as simple as it is effective.
Several actions can be used to fight against heat loss, especially when using a heating device. You can install insulating seals on your windows, equip your interior with thick carpets or even install thermal curtains. But these measures alone are not enough to fully insulate your home and heat it. Thus, many people do not hesitate to use other methods to better heat their homes. More economical, our tip is simply to insulate your radiator to prevent heat loss.
Why insulate the radiator?

The benefits of insulating your radiator are numerous. You ignore it, but 25% of the heat emitted by the radiator is absorbed by the walls. By not being isolated, the latter loses effectiveness.
However, using insulation placed behind your heating appliance prevents energy loss and ensures more heat in your home in winter, while reducing the cost of energy bills. The insulation of the radiator therefore makes it possible to maintain the desired temperature by avoiding the use of an auxiliary heater.
Installing insulation behind the radiator is also an ecological act because excessive energy consumption increases CO2 gas emissions into the air.
To take advantage of all the heat emanating from the radiator, it is advisable to install a reflective panel on the back of the latter. This can be done using protective adhesive film, called insulating film, which aims to maintain a warm temperature inside the house. The insulating film is essential because it improves the performance of the radiator by around 5 to 10%, thus avoiding heat loss. And who says energy losses, says big bills!
This trick will allow you to reduce your energy bills and avoid the purchase of an additional heating device.

- Measure the space behind the device before purchasing the necessary amount of insulating film.
- If your radiator is high, mark the location of its support for a better reference.
- Once you have the insulating film ready, cut it according to the dimensions previously collected.
- When installing the film, be sure to remove all air bubbles to prevent it from peeling off.
- Some aluminum foil insulation does not contain glue. In this case, use wallpaper paste or adhesive tape to fix it.
