Today I be showing you the easy step to install Google Analytics To Your Wordpress Website, Google Analytics gives you a lot of information like where your traffic is coming from, how long they are on your website, what interest they have, gender and so on. so in this tutorial, i will show you how you can install it to your website.
the first things you want to do is to go to Google Analytics page if you have a Gmail account you can go ahead and sign in, then you will see a page that looks like this. you must have a Gmail account in other for this to work, if not you can create one is totally free.
on your left side click the signup button and is gonna as for some information like account name, website name, website URL, after entering this three information then your select your category. for example, Account name >My website, website name > seo quick, website URL > http://www.seoquick.in. then select a category and click Get Tracking ID. you will see a page that looks like this below
Don't worry is very simple, just copy your tracking ID, now go to your WordPress dashboard. you are going to install a plugin, there is another way to do it but is a difficult way. so the way am going to show you is much easier. on your WordPress dashboard go to plugins and go to add new, on your left side type in Google Analytics
they have a lot of Google Analytics plugin but we are going to install the first one on the right side, click on install now, now click on activate. a new page will show up, to find it, go to settings and then go to Google Analytics, just paste in your tracking ID and click save change then you are done. that is very simple. now your website is linked with Google Analytics
now go back to your Analytics account, it does take some time for information to come up, go home and click all website data you will see a page that looks like this below. they also have video tips you can watch to have more understanding. on the lift side you have many options there, just play around with it and get used to it.
