How to have a chigger-free Lawn?
To blow the invasion of chiggers in your yard completely, you must be mindful of the nature of the attackers. Once you have recognized them properly, you will be able to fight with the right weapon.
Nature-wise, chiggers love to settle in the cornered, shady, and moist spaces in the yard. You will never find them wandering in the sunny, and dry areas of your yard.
You can also discover their existence by placing any black colored board in your yard and if they are present, then after some time if you will see the chiggers crawling on that board.
Their existence can also be caught by placing a water-filled container in the yard and if there would be chiggers, you will be able to see them on the sides of the container with a magnifier.
Once they have been detected, now it's time to take action!
There are two ways that you can get rid of these invaders.
- Using organic fluid.
- Using readymade pesticides.
Organic fluid:
We have a very easy-to-make and effective solution, by using which you would be able to get rid of chiggers in your yard.
To make it you will need lemon juice about 1-2 cups, sanitized dish soap about 1-1.5 cup, 1.5 cups of soda or sprite, and a large size sprayer that can hold nearly 4 gallons of liquid.
Now, make a mixture of all the mentioned ingredients, and put it in a sprayer, and spray it all over the infected land evenly. It is organic and non-toxic for the plants and grass of the yard. If you want to spray it in your garden, it is also safe for vegetables. Flowers, and fruits.
Note: Increase the number of ingredients if your yard is bigger.
