Cleaning the oven is certainly one of the most difficult and time-consuming household chores. Cleaning the oven on a regular basis is essential. However, care should be taken to avoid scratching the surface of the device to avoid damaging it. It also happens that detergents are not very effective and fail to remove encrustations. What’s more, certain chemicals can damage the interior of the oven and release toxic substances. It is therefore useless to resort to harmful detergents for the environment and health when it is possible to replace them with natural ingredients, as is the case for the combination of baking soda and white vinegar. Thanks to its abrasive action, baking soda removes all stains, even the most stubborn ones, while white vinegar is known for its disinfecting and descaling properties. First, start by emptying the oven and removing the racks.

Cover grimy, charred surfaces on your oven completely with baking soda.

Next, mix water and white vinegar, and heat the solution until lukewarm, then spray the liquid over the baking soda and let sit for 30 minutes. This results in a chemical reaction that will remove dirt and grease from the oven. Then simply pass a sponge over all the surfaces and walls of the oven. Finally, dry the oven with a microfiber cloth. Thus, you disinfect your oven while eliminating bad smells.

Another method of cleaning the oven is to mix white vinegar and a little water in an ovenproof bowl. Then simply place the bowl inside and heat the appliance to 100°C for 50 minutes. The mixture will release a vapor that will soften the dirt residue. All you have to do is wipe it all off with a sponge.
