Quidco is one of the UK's top cashback platforms and was founded in May 2005. The company takes a commission from retailers to offer prizes for people making purchases through their referral links. It also makes money from online retailers who advertise on its website.
There are two membership options with Quidco, a Basic member which is free and a Premium member which costs £5. The Premium level offers new benefits and access to customer care. But what if you want to cancel the membership? Here's a step by step guide on how to do this.

Step 1 - visit the website
By visiting the main website https://www.quidco.com/ , you can get the information to cancel your membership. Or you can check the benefits if you are considering upgrading what you already have. There are also FAQ sections to help you see the benefits of the membership and how to cancel it. These pages are also available through the mobile app.
Next, log into your account with the information you used when setting it up. Then you can get the information needed to proceed with the cancellation.
Step 2 - withdraw your cashback
If you have any cashback or rewards to redeem, do this before you cancel. For Premium members, Quidco keeps £5 a year from you for the cost of the membership. So if you haven't already paid this, they can keep the amount for any withdrawal you make. If you have more than £1 in the account, you can withdraw it.
If you got any bonuses such as the Just Eat Black Friday deal, you can also look to redeem or withdraw these. Check your T&C to see if there are any conditions that apply. This also includes any refer a friend bonuses you may have received. You get a payment if a friend upgrades to a Premium account and there are links to share on social media to help get this.
Cashback is not a guaranteed way to make money so if you have less in your account than you believed, it may be that you haven't completed all the steps to get the rewards. Quidco use a variety of third-party programs and each has its own terms. You may also encounter different minimum withdrawal amounts.
Step 3 - cancel the account
Quidco have a requirement that you contact them to cancel your membership, so they can chat with you about why. There is a contact number on the support page or you can reach out via social media including Facebook or Twitter. But be careful not to post your information on publicly viewable walls or profiles.
When you contact the team, they will ask a few questions about why you want to cancel. If you want them to delete your data, you should also tell them this at the stage. Some information may need to be retained in order for them to process the account cancellation. Once you have spoken to them, the process can then commence.
Step 4 - uninstall the app
You may also want to uninstall the app on your phone if you don't plan to use the service in any form, even for a free account. If you have requested they delete your data, then the app won't work for you after this point.
