This step by step guide is to help you easily cancel any Daily Mail produced. This includes digital subscriptions and also printed newspaper deliveries. If you do need more information about contacting the company for other reasons, visit our Daily Mail Contact Numbers page for this.
1. Go to the website
To start with, visit the main Daily Mail website http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html where you can find out the information you need to cancel the service in question. This is where you can also make changes to your subscription.
Have a card handy in case you have a minimum commitment on your account and need to pay a cancellation charge or any money outstanding.
2. Check the terms and conditions
The terms and conditions on the website will tell you everything you need to know about cancelling any product or service through the company. The FAQs section will also have answers to the most common questions.
Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling a subscription is easy and can be done at any time. Visit the website and log in with your information then go to the 'view details' section. Scroll down until you see the cancel option and select this. It will stop the subscription and you will no longer receive access or the newspaper. You will also get a confirmation from the payment processor, WorldPay that this has been done.
Recurring payments
If you have a recurring payment for a service, log into your account and go to the 'view details' section. Again scroll down to the cancel option and use this button. You will receive a cancellation confirmation via email from WorldPay. If you can't find your login information, there is an option to request new credentials.
Refunds policy
If you made a subscription and need a refund for services unused, then this will take place after you have followed the process above. Check the website to see if you are eligible. Any refund will be placed onto the card or account you used to make the initial payment.
Daily Mail subscriptions
Some subscriptions run until they are finished and there's no refund. So you can cancel it, but you won't get any money back. Therefore sometimes it is best to wait until it is due for renewal and then stop the transaction.
3. Cancelling an online account
When you log into your account you can see information about you that you supply when you set up your online account. There's no way to close the account from the dashboard so you need to reach out to the Daily Mail to get them to close the online account. The number you need is at the end of the guide.
Daily Mail Plus subscription
Mail Plus is the digital edition of the newspaper for smartphones and tablets. They have a minimum three-month term and you can cancel after this time unless you are still in the first 14 days, the cooling off period, where you cancel for free.
4. Helpline number
Finally, if you need more information, run into a problem or are confused by some of the terms, you can also ring the Daily Mail for more information on 0207 938 6000. Their customer services team will help and provide the assistance you need to cancel your account.
