Block Unknown Numbers on Android with the Google Phone app
If you have the Google Phone app installed, you are already a step ahead of blocking unknown numbers on your Android phone. However, if you do not have it, kindly install it from the Google Play Store before you proceed.
- Launch the Google Phone app on your phone and tap the three-dot icon from the top-right of the screen, located right beside the dialler search bar.
- Next, locate and tap Settings, then go to Blocked numbers and toggle on the Unknown option.
Aside from this, you can also block calls from numbers that are not in your contacts. However, this will deprive anyone who doesn’t have your contact from reaching you. Therefore, you are advised to weigh your options before enabling the option.
Block Unknown Numbers on Samsung
- Launch the Phone app that comes with your Samsung device and tap the three-dot icon on the screen.
- Find and tap Settings then see the Block numbers option.
- Under the Block numbers option, tap Block unknown/hidden numbers.
Block Unknown Numbers on Xiaomi
- Launch the Phone app and tap the three-dot icon from the search bar.
- Find and tap Settings from the menu, and tap Unknown. This will block calls coming to your phone from hidden callers.
