Here are a few useful tips to avoid an ex:

  1. Know Schedule of Your Ex. Your ex may occasionally come across you in hallways, corridors, lanes and other such places. Try to know the schedule of the ex and then avoid going at the time and place where your ex can appear. If you are in school/college/ university your ex will be looking for you in cafeteria, library or lockers. The person may even keep waiting there for you but it is up to you to avoid.
  2. Avoid Venues of Sports / Recreation. You will be knowing the likes and dislikes of the person and favorite games. If the ex plays tennis or basket ball then try to avoid going there. Similarly your ex may be in a habit of hanging out at some peculiar restaurants/fast food outlets then do not visit those places.
  3. Delete Contacts on Internet/Cell phone. In order to stop getting the emails, messages, in your inbox, block all her accounts held with you. The ex may have remained in contact with you on Facebook, Twitter, Skype or other social websites. Now is the time that you should delete the contacts and block the person on internet and cell phone.
  4. Make a New Contact. It is better that you enter into a new relationship with someone else. Select a person of your choice and make fresh friendship. Till the time you do not make new boy/girl friend there are chances that you may again fall in love with your ex and hence spoil you plans. Moreover once you ex sees you with some other person he/she will come to terms with the reality that the time of reverting back to old relationship has gone past. The person may then stop following you with the previous craze.
  5. Take Help of an Elder. If you are unable to get rid of your ex, then talk to someone in the family who is elder and more experienced. Tell the person frankly that you are no more interested in your ex. The person will definitely guide you in a better way. Such a person can be your mom, sister or brother or even your teacher.
  6. Talk with Your Ex Carefully. At times it may happen that your ex comes across without your intention and you may have to indulge in conversation with the person. Be casual and neutral in your behavior and attitude and try to disengage as soon as possible.
