First, you have to select the place where you want to assemble your platform bed. Make the space clean and suitable for the bed to be installed. The place should not be wet or dump. If it is the dump, your bed’s longevity may hamper. Another important thing you have to keep in your mind that the place is evenly plain so that the bed can sit perfectly. It prevents your bed from damaging in one side that will lead it to unusable.

Before jumping into the steps to assemble a bed frame, we need necessary components and other things ready to go further.
Components and other things:
- Two/four Bed Rails
- Headboard
- Footboard
- Wooden/metal slats (depend on your choice)
- Center Support Rail (if have)
- Cross Rails
- Screws and Bolts
- Screwdriver and a hex wrench
So, now, you have almost everything in your hand. Let’s go to follow the simple steps to do the job. It is as easy as 1, 2, 3 (we think).
Step 1
Start with the side rails and headboard. At the very beginning of the entire installation system, you have to lean the headboard against the wall and then fix the rails one after another. Use the hex wrench provided with the shipping box or a screwdriver to tighten the bolts.
Step 2
Repeat the same process with the footboard and another end of the side rails. Do not tight heavily at first until side rails are properly installed at the four mounting places of the head and footboard.
Step 3
Bring the center support rail and cross rail (if your model has the feature) in place and screw them well with the side rails and headboard and footboard as it stands strongly to allow the wooden slats to be placed on.
Step 4
Now it is time for the wooden slats to be spread on the bed frame. Almost every platform bed has Velcro-striped wooden slats to keep in place. Make sure you screw up the slats with the side rails so that they hold in place tightly and do not move. Use the provided hex wrench or screwdriver to tighten the bolts well.
Step 5
Some bed frames have wooden legs to be installed to the headboard and footboard for extra height. If your bed frame has legs, attach them to the headboard and footboard before attaching side rails with them. Otherwise, it may be difficult for you to fix them with your bed frame. Check everything for one more time to assure that everything is perfect. Make sure you have tightened all the bolts tightly so that the bed does not produce irritating noise. If you see that all are done, you can place your mattress on the platform bed and enjoy.
