The status bar at the top of the iPad screen contains important information that you can check from time to time.
Whether it's the icons in the top right, like the little arrow, battery power, or date and time, this is important information you might need to know.
Some of this information can be removed and some can be customized. For example, you can add AM or PM, or remove it.

- Open settings.
- Select the General tab.
- Select Date and time on the right side of the screen.
- Click the button to the right of Show AM/PM on the status bar.

The presence of the AM/PM tag will be updated as soon as this setting is changed.
If you don't see this option, your device may be using the 24-hour time format. If you disable this setting, the AM/PM label option will appear.

Note that you can change this setting at any time if you find you prefer one of the display options over another.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Select "General" on the left side of the screen.
Step 3: Select Date & Time on the right side of the screen.
Step 4: Click the button to the right of "Show AM/PM" on the status bar to change the setting.
The display will update immediately as soon as you toggle this setting.
