An interesting anecdote happened regarding the recent signing of normalization agreement between Bhutan and Israel. Hamechadesh reported on it, and I have not yet been able to find any mention of it anywhere else.
According to the report, the agreement was signed on Saturday night specifically. The Bhutian team insisted on signing the agreement on Either December 12 or December 18. They were interested in the alignment of the stars that indicated these days as especially auspicious days for signing such an agreement. The Israelis didn't wan to wait until the 18th, but could not sign on the 12th because of Shabbos. The Israelis wanted to push off the signing to the 13th of December, but the Bhutians said no, as the stars show the 13th to be a day of bad fortune.
According to the report, the Israeli embassy in India contacted the local Chabad house to find out exactly what time Shabbos would be out in Delhi. After finding out the exact time, they scheduled the signing to take place in the Israeli ambassador's, Dr Ron Malca, house and they did it that night before the midnight when the date would change to the 13th.
And that's how the agreement got signed late on a Saturday night.
