Lina Medina, as a child was diagnosed with a rare medical condition known as precocious puberty. This made her develop rapidly to an adult before she became a teenager. Boys who are diagnosed with such condition experience developments before age 9 and for girls before age 8.
In 1939, Lina Medina at age 5 officially became the youngest mother in the world following the birth of her son through C-section. The early birth of Lina Medina’s son opened more possibilities in early child birth but some questions were asked.
Lina Medina, who is currently 87-year-old, was asked concerning the father of her child. She has refused to give any information on who may have been responsible.
As a result of speculations, Lina Medina’s father was arrested as a suspect to the pregnancy of his daughter though he was later released due to lack of substantial proof.
