I've been to NYC before, so this time I wanted to soak up more of the city's vibe rather than just doing the regular tourist activities. I managed to catch a ferry ride from Brooklyn to Midtown Manhattan and squeeze in going to 'The Top of the Rock', with an added bonus of Ben & Jerry's chocolate nougat crunch ice cream before our allocated time to go up (the shop was calling to me).
