I’m really excited about the remodeling plans my husband and I are planning for our home this year. One of our renovation projects is a complete re-do of our overhead lighting. Our present fixtures do not include any recessed lights; instead, we have ceiling fans with lights along with floor and table top lamps. We’ve been looking at recessed lights and it’s just amazing just how many different designs and sizes they now come in. Recessed lights are not often used as the main source of light in a room but rather as an accent. No matter what decor style you have, recessed lights are a great addition to your home.
Most often you will find these fixtures in kitchens. This kitchen perfectly showcases how the recessed lights can work in in harmony with other light fixtures, such as pendant and under-the-cabinet lights. By having available a variety of lighting options in a space, you can create different moods at different times.
If you have a small room, the number of needed recessed light fixtures will be less than for a large room. Too many fixtures will overwhelm the space. In this bathroom, recessed lights are used to accentuate the tub and shower.
If you’re an art collector, small recessed light fixtures placed along the perimeter of the room will highlight your artwork.
In this open floor plan living room, pendant lights blend in perfectly with the recessed fixtures, giving the space additional brightness and softness.
Here, the recessed lights give an added glow to a bedroom already well lit by the natural light from the windows.
These are just some of the design options we are considering in our light renovation project.
1.Lumens; 2. All Modern; 3. Y Lighting; 4. Lumens; 5. Lamps Plus; 6. Wayfair; 7. Y Lighting 8. Lumens; 9. Lighting Universe
I can’t wait to see them installed! I’ll keep you apprised.
