Not all heroes wear a cape, especially at the local hospital.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact the United States of America, NBC has decided to add a new medical drama to its prime viewing schedule. Titled Nurses, the series became a huge hit in Canada. And although the first season was filmed long before COVID-19 began to impact the world, a cast member said the show honors healthcare workers from the first episode.
"I think it's a nice reminder that these people are working very hard", Tiera Skovbye exclusively shared with E! News. "Our show is a lot of young doctors. There are a lot of young doctors who dedicate their lives, but there are also parents, grandparents and all kinds of people who dedicate their lives to protect us. If we can help them and honor them, I think it's a huge thing people can take away from watching our show. "
In the first episode, Tiera's character, Grace Knight, along with four other junior nurses experience their first hospital placement. They are immediately confronted with a tragic accident which leaves all the staff overwhelmed with patients. This is a scenario that hospitals have known before and during any pandemic.
