The speed of light is around 300,000 kilometers per second, do you know the electrons that use electricity and also travel very close to this speed. Travel information on the Internet also approaches this speed. Information or collector electrons account for about 60% of the speed of light in most conductors.

WiFi signals, which travel mostly through the air, reach much closer to the speed of light than electrons that grow through the copper wire. These signals can travel at the maximum recorded speed of light in a vacuum, which is about 185,000 mph.

Some calculations suggest that electrons can travel through a conductor at 90% of the speed of light. Imagine how fast these particles can travel in a vacuum. You need to exert a lot of energy to make them travel faster. This is because electrons become very heavy, as they reach the speed of light. However, in outer space, light travels at a speed of 186,000 miles per second. The outer space is assumed to be zero. So perhaps the light waves are slowed by friction. Your sun glasses is capable of blocking UV light waves. In fact many scientists believe that after millions of nuclear reactions, there is some type of radiation over millions of years to escape the center of the Sun.

The speed with which it travels is very dependent on the medium on which it is traveling. Consider that there are materials through which light cannot go. Light can never pass through lead or various types of metal. Light particles or waves try to penetrate these materials. However they only collide with the outer surface and become kinetic energy. This means that they heat the surface of these materials and do nothing. Maybe they become potential energy. The laws of thermodynamics would indicate this. The first law of thermodynamics is known as the law of conservation. This law states that energy cannot be created or destroyed in a contained or isolated system. The second law of thermodynamics puts an interesting twist on the first law. The second law states that the penetration of any implicit or isolated system always increases.

The speed of light is measured at 186,000 miles per second. The distance of information on the Internet is thousands of miles. The time it takes to actually get information is instant. Of course there are various devices that slow down this process such as routers and different types of switches. However the process that slows down this mode of information travel is how fast humans make decisions and are able to input their thoughts into the Internet. Human thoughts can make the Internet a good way to change the world. However, the Internet can also be a method of transmitting bad ideas.
