I went to a short out of town trip for work a few days ago and to tell you honestly I wasn’t able to pack properly. Yes, the typical me usually packs on the day of departure (bad habit I must let go, srsly!) and cos I knew I have enough time to go back home and pack. Wrong move this time around! I was stuck in a terrible traffic on my way home and I was still on the road around 11pm… the company van will pick me up at home at 12ish. So yeah, in short I was able to prepare in only just more or less 20 minutes!
Omygosh! It was such a nightmare. I realized later on that I forgot my cardigan (I CANNOT live without a cardi or at least a shawl cos I get easily cold) and that I brought with me a gifted extra large white v-neck shirt (among the few tops I was able to grab from my closet) that I haven’t worn ever.
Thank god the event calls for casual attire, and my only problem was how to make it look wearable! I tried it on but it was so loose and unflattering, really. That’s where the double-sided tape saved my life! Since the shirt is long, I folded it inwards twice and taped it. Viola! Here’s my turista photo op in Vigan! :P
But seriously, if anything… my takeaway here is to pack ahead of time and always bring with you emergency remedies such as safety pin, needle and thread and of course, the good ol’ double-sided tape.
