Dallas voters will go to the polls on May 6, 2017, to decide on the proposed bond program to fund critical infrastructure improvements across the city. These projects may include: City Facilities, Court Facilities, Cultural Arts Facilities, Flood Protection and Storm Drainage, Library Facilities, Park and Recreation Facilities, Public Safety Facilities, and Street and Transportation. In the coming months, there will be many opportunities to share with city leadership how the program will directly impact Dallas and create a new picture of our city. A social media campaign has been created to give residents a fun and easy way to voice your opinion and tell city officials how you picture Dallas? How will the bond program change your picture of Dallas — where you live, where you work, and where you play? In addition to the traditional outreach and town hall meetings, they want you to use Facebook and Twitter to share your thoughts about the bond program. Use the hashtag #PictureDallas to:
- Post pictures of yourself in your favorite places around the city for a chance to be featured
- Tell them where you picture the bond program having the biggest impact on you and your family
- Ask questions about the bond program
- Share the bond program with your friends and community
Start thinking about what you how Dallas can be a better city and then post to let your city officials know how you #PictureDallas!
