I believe, as we go older in age and experiences we tend to become more realistic in approach, we become more calculative, egocentric and judgmental. As someone truly said,
"Being realistic is the most commonly traveled road to mediocrity"
- Will Smith.
So at some point I truly wish to get back to my early days of childhood, spend a quality time with those dear friends without a time bound and more of energy.
At the age of social media communication getting back to the old school friends in person is always a golden moment, and how can I miss such an opportunity?I took no chance!!I give credit to my friend Tiyasha Kanjilal for a simple idea of meeting up post-Mahalaya at Kumortuli. As I went ahead with this wonderful plan.
My conveyed message was well responded with enthusiasm by my friends Shreya(whom I wanted to meet for long) and Adwidya Sundar Das (the energetic friend who is always ready to respond to a good idea).I thank them all for making the meeting possible and we ended up spending a quality time I've always wanted for long.
What's special about the get-together?
#1. We meet each other almost 13 years after school (the Assembly of God Church School).#2. We had a chance to share stuff interesting, gossips, fun, pranks keeping aside the daily schedule of life.#3. We talked and shared opinions(mostly Adwidya... ha ha) starting from the world of politics, cross-border terrorism(making the space heavy inside Metro... Oh, how can we forget the loud voice of Adwitya, n excitement of Tiyasha), go-karting to talking about our school day's moment.Oh, I just forgot... we were so much deep into discussion n excited that we were about to miss the station.(Luckily we didn't!!)The one's who couldn't join the meet... have missed so much, trust me.#4. Kumortuli visit Post-Mahalaya is always exciting for photo geeks and so we are not an exception.......
Below are few glimpses of our group's photography.....
Though we are not the professionals but pretty comfortable behind the lens with our photo gears, the smartphone cameras/semi-DSLR's.
So, these are few candid moments, I somehow managed to freeze down (lucky me...!!!)
Adda n Refreshment Abhi Baki Hai...
Oh, rightly said by Shreya on her Facebook timeline.....
"Diner sheshe klanto hoye....Indian coffee house e eshey bosha r aro adda..."
Yeah, finally had a chance to sit at Jadavpur Coffee House, it's like the stress buster after the long day event...
Hot Mug of Coffee - my fav. @ Coffee House - Jadavpur
Oh, Yes Yes! The taste is still there, we ordered Chicken Omelet Fry each (it's of course, Adwitya's choice - 'n I thank him on behalf of the team), chicken sandwich and my all day favorite hot mug of coffee.
The special recommendation of Adwaita Sundar Das
Trust me, Chicken Omelet Fry(the special dish of Jadavpur Coffee House - as told by my friend Adwitya S. Das), was really yummy in taste and it will melt in your mouth.
If you haven't tried it - you're unlucky - this puja you must come down to this place for this dish (now it's my recommendation).
Oh yes, I was a bit sure..... Shreya, the selfie geek didn't miss out the group selfie, below is that snap.
Give a look at her Selfie and it's a nice way to say the day went well....
