Story: Hounds of War starts when a lone soldier Ryder (Grillo) sees his men killed trying to take down a threat. However, Ryder discovers he is up against a group far deadlier than expected. Colonel Hart (Patrick) leads the hunt, and Ryder must use all his connections to survive the onslaught and take revenge on the people who are trying to kill him.
Ryder’s connections face problems too as the battle for control of the area and everyone sees his capture as a power play. Can he get revenge for his fallen brothers before getting captured again?
Verdict on Hounds of War
Hounds of War is an action thriller following a soldier doing everything to protect himself and get revenge for his fallen soldiers. However, he discovers the corruption goes much higher than expected and must expose it before it is too late.
When it comes to action, it does the basics of what you would expect. It doesn’t have an overly intense story despite diving into a bigger corruption case. This makes for a good background action movie, without doing anything memorable or standout. Most of the action is what you have come to expect, with no standout set piece and the twists and turns come without many surprises.
Final Thoughts – Hounds of War is the standard late-night action movie.
