A travel site promotion allows one lucky traveler to do just that. Hotels.com is offering a five-night stay in a cave 15 meters underground from November 2-7 Election on November 3rd and then some.
"Now if someone asks you, 'Did you live under a rock?' You can actually say yes, "a website spokesman said in an email. "I can't think of a better year for the underground."

The cave is a Flintstones style B&B in Farmington, New Mexico, and it's only $ 5 a night for this promotion. There is only one stay available, however, and it goes to those who access it first through a dedicated page on the company's website that starts at 6am on October 9th.
The property does advertise free WiFi, however. So if you really want to stay away from the election news, you have to defy the lure of the internet.
