Established in 1852, the Hotel Fauchere was recognized as a historic landmark in Milford, Pennsylvania in 1980. Delighted to stay in the romantic Poconos, the Hotel Fauchere was an excellent choice for a fun little getaway.
As most romantic getaways go for us, we brought Zoe (our weimaraner) along with us. When you come across pet-friendly boutique hotels, you never really know what to expect. Our trio was pleasantly greeted by the hotel staff with two glasses of wine and this adorable little plate for Zoe. This was an extremely nice and thoughtful attention to detail and skyrockets Hotel Fauchere onto my “favorites” list.
Truly pet-friendly
Feeling welcomed at a hotel is one thing, but the true value is in the accommodations. Hotel Fauchere managed to make us feel right at home for our entire stay. I’m not going to lie, I kicked off my shoes and dove into this plush bed and camped out there until my husband managed to lure me out the only way he knew how.
Great night sleep
The only way to get me out of a plush comfy bed is to get me into a hot luxurious bath. The Hotel Fauchere has these amazing claw footed bathtubs and they leave a jar of bath salts in your bathroom. Needless to say, after a glass of wine upon arrival and a (too) short time in my plushy bed, I almost feel asleep in the tub…almost. What I needed was a little pick me up.
Romantic tub
Well they have that covered as well. Our room came with its very own Nespresso maker. A shot of freshly made espresso was all I needed to carry on with my day.

Of course, they picked me up only to knock me back down again (in the most delightful way). Turn down service here at Hotel Fauchere includes a bedtime story, glass of milk, and some fresh baked cookies.
