The Qype Summer Party was bursting with brilliant sponsors, neon favourites Bompas and Parr and Moolis were on amazing form as always but it was the new Bake At Home Pizza that made the biggest impression along with the kind-of-new-but-already-an-institution Big Apple Hot Dogs.
The sausages are handmade in London and all over 90% meat, finally we can forget the notion that hot dogs have to be made of nasty stuff. We love the sign on the cart that says: “no bones, no brains, no ears” – good to know!
Choose your sausage from a selection of pork, beef or pork & beef, wrap it in a bun baked locally by Anderson’s of Hoxton, add some delicious fried onion, ketchup, mustard and squeezy cheese and bite – you will be back again next week.
The Big Apple cart is just past the Fire Station on Old Street from 12pm until 6pm Tuesday to Friday.
