I had been accustomed to using tech support via the phone, and was initially very skeptical about web chat service. But it actually works. You might sometimes have to prompt the operator to get a response, but that is very similar to the"hello are you there" you do on the telephone. Hostgator also provides phone and email support and I have used them on occasion and their answer was instantaneous.
