Hong Kong Tramways, November 2012
The first fleet of tramcars in 1904 were all single-deck with bodies made in UK and assembled in Hong Kong, with distinctive designs between first class passengers and third class passengers. The class distinction was abolished and a flat fare was introduced only in 1972. The first double-deck tramcar was introduced in 1912. Now, the Hong Kong Tramways is the only exclusively double-decker operated tram system in the world, and one of only three non-heritage tram systems that use double-deck cars.
