(Hong Kong) Hong Kong opened a field hospital of 125 beds on Saturday to take in burden of COVID patients - 18, as the city faces a new wave of contaminations.

The Asian financial center, once a model for managing the epidemic, saw the virus return in July.
The hospital opens the day after Head of Government Carrie Lam announces the postponement of legislative elections until next year. "Nothing to do with politics," she said, citing health reasons.
More than 2000 contaminations have been identified since the beginning of July - 60% of contamination in total since the arrival of the epidemic at the end of January.
The field hospital, located in the AsiaWorld-Expo exhibition hall near the airport, will receive patients from 18 to 60 years.

"Our goal is to triage patients [...] and provide them with appropriate treatment," said Dr Larry Lee of the Hospital Authority. Unstable patients will be sent to permanent hospitals, while stabilized patients will be treated and placed under observation in the new facility, he said.
The city identified 125 new cases on Saturday, a figure greater than 100 for the 11 e Day in a row. In total, at least 2020 people were infected. The death toll has dropped from seven to 19 since early July.
