My first sighting of a HondaJet was seeing this one parked in front of Clay Lacy’s hangar during the 2016 Living Legends of Aviation Awards pre-event. Designed in Japan and developed and manufactured in North Carolina, this the first aircraft developed by Honda Aircraft Company. Known for its distinctive over-wing engine placement, this business jet first flew in 2003 with certification finally achieved in December 2015.
