Acne and pimple can be classified into two subtypes – Non-Inflammatory and Inflammatory. Blackheads and whiteheads are non-inflammatory subtypes and papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts are the inflammatory types of acne. These type of inflammatory pimple and acne that tends to leave behind scars and marks. These kinds of inflamed acne blemishes occur when your pores become engorged as a result of excess oil, dead cells, and bacteria clogging them. This leads to the swelling of the pores, which causes the follicle walls to expand and break, and if this rupture occurs close to the surface of your skin, then resulting pimple lesion is usually minor and have quick healing capacity. However, if the break on the follicle is deep, the lesion will be more severe, and the infected material may leak out into the dermis (the second of the layer of skin), destroying healthy skin tissues. These home remedies given below may help you in combating them naturally. This unit comprises the hair follicle, its associated sebaceous gland(s), and the arrector pili muscles.  Contributing factors play a role in the occurrence of pimples and acne. 1. Gram flour

Gram flour is another great remedy for skin issues like acne, pimples and pimple scars. These exfoliating and lightening properties help in reducing the appearance of pimple scars and blemishes.

How to use

  1. Take a tablespoon of gram flour and add some rose water to it until you get a paste of medium thick consistency (not too runny).
  2. Apply the paste to your face and neck, concentrating more on the scars.
  3. Allow it to dry, after which you can wash it off with water.

You must do this once every alternate day.

2. Orange Peel Powder

Orange peel powder has amazing lightening properties that can help in reducing the appearance of pimple scars, acne, blemishes and pigmentation.

How to use

  1. Mix a teaspoon each of orange peel powder and honey.
  2. Apply this paste to the affected areas on your face.
  3. Allow it to dry and then wash it off.

Do this once every alternate day.

3. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is best oil for your skin.  It constitutes antioxidants and vitamins E and K that repair your skin and promote the growth of healthy skin tissues.  This special anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of coconut oil can prevent the surfacing of new acne lesions. However, some people may develop more whiteheads, as it may clog your pores.

How to use

  1. Take a teaspoon of coconut oil and rub it between your palms.
  2. Apply the oil lightly all over your face, particularly more on the acne scars.
  3. Leave it on overnight and wash off the next morning. Try this remedy daily or every alternate day.

4. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a very effective and best home remedy for pimples, blemishes and acne and it contains polysaccharides and gibberellins that enhance the healing of scarred skin. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that promote the repair of damaged skin.

How to use

  1. Extract the gel from aloe leaves.
  2. Apply an even layer of the gel to the affected areas.
  3. Leave it on overnight.

You must do this daily.

5. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is the best home remedy for pimples, acne. Lemon contains skin lightening properties that can help in fading acne scars faster.

How to use

Squeeze the juice from half a lemon.

  1. Dip a cotton pad into this and apply it to the affected areas. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
  2. Wash it off.

You must do this once every alternate day.

6. Castor Oil

Castor oil is a natural and best home remedy for acne, it contains vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids that help in repairing scarred and damaged skin tissues. Castor oil also helps in curing pigmentation, reducing the appearance of the acne scars.

How to use

  1. Take a few drops of castor oil on your fingers.
  2. Apply it directly to the acne scars.
  3. Leave it on overnight and wash off the next morning.

You must do this once daily.

7. Turmeric

Turmeric is another best home remedy for lightning your skin and acne scars, skin tone. The unique anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of turmeric speed up the healing of the scarred tissues and improve skin quality.

How to use

  1. Mix one to two teaspoons of turmeric powder with lemon juice.
  2. Apply this paste all over your face.
  3. Allow it to work on your skin for 30 minutes, after which you can wash it off with water.

8. Potato

Potatoes are a good source of vitamins and used to lighten the skin and reduce the appearance of scars, blemishes and pigmentation. These benefits can be credited to their composition and alkalinity.

  1. Crush a raw potato and extract its juice.
  2. Dip a cotton pad into this juice and apply it to your face or just the acne scars.
  3. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes, after which you can wash it off with water.
