You can basically guarantee that a studio chief in Hollywood has already been propositioned by someone looking to make an adaptation of the upcoming horror film Kiseiju, which translates to Parasyte. It’s based off of a manga where our own bodies turn against us, and others, transforming our extremities into killing 
machines.
Check out the GIF for what I mean… (it might be considered disturbing by some… this is a horror film). It looks a little silly, but I think with the right horror director in America, it could be a completely different property. They are already working on a sequel in Japan.
