ABOUT THE BOOK:
It’s Christmastime again in Heartbreaker Bay!
When Sean O’Riley shows up at the Hartford Bed & Breakfast for his older brother’s bachelor weekend, he’s just hoping to make it through the weekend. What he’s not expecting is to come face to face with the woman he lost his virginity to a decade ago—a woman he’s never really forgotten.
The last time Lotti Hartford saw Sean, she told him she loved him while he said nothing. Now, ten years later, she’s just looking for a good time. For once, she wants to be the wild and free one, and Sean – the good time guy – is the perfect candidate.
But as the weekend continues, Sean realizes that after a lifetime of being the hook-up king, he’s ready to find happily-ever-after, and he wants it with Lotti. But will she open her heart to him again? As Christmas sweeps through the little B&B, he can only hope love and magic are in the air.

MY REVIEW:
Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis is a 2017 Avon Impulse publication.
Super short, but cute holiday novella-
Pru and Finn are tying the knot, but Finn’s brother, Sean, is the one who is nervous. He managed to get the B&B that Pru wanted for their big bachelor and bachelorette bash and is determined to see that everything goes off without a hitch.
He never dreamed in a million years that he would meet Lotti Hartford at the B&B. Sean and Lotti shared their first sexual experience with each other, but never saw each other after that… until now.
Despite the awkwardness, the chemistry between them is still as strong as ever. But, Lotti has been burned too many times and Sean still exudes all his bad boy charm, so Lotti puts up all her defenses. Can Sean convince her to give him one more chance?
There is always a ton of new holiday themed novellas every year, and I learned a long time ago to pace myself with them because by the time Christmas arrives, I’m burned out on saccharine sweet or super silly Christmas capers. But, there are a handful of ‘go-to’ authors I seek out for holiday themed romances, and Jill Shalvis is one of them.
Since I follow this series, which is really good, by the way, I was pretty stoked about Pru and Finn’s wedding. But, the story is really centered around Sean and Lotti, who receive the best holiday gift of all- a second chance at love.
As always, Shalvis manages to add just the right measured amount of humor, spice, and sigh worthy romance. Sean may still have his bad boy charm, but he is definitely all grown up now and thanks to Finn’s faith in him, he has matured into a more responsible person. He really rises to the occasion and shows Lotti the stuff he’s made of.
Lotti will need some time to get over her trust issues, but I think this Christmas, she will finally get her very own Happily ever after.
I love second chance love stories, so despite its brevity, this story is very sweet and is a perfect way to usher in the holiday season.
