Things to think aboutIt is important to realize that, due to the popularity of the city, it also has a high crime rate for pickpockets. Use a safe for all your valuables and never take out all your money or passports when you go out: bring what you need with you. Remember, with the sheer volume of people, you will rarely get a robber after they hit.
Rome can also be a fairly expensive place to travel, so be sure to give yourself a lot of money if you plan to travel there. Try to book accommodation around Termini Station (the main railway station in Rome) if you want something a little cheaper but still nice, this will allow you to use the train to travel, but without the expense of the main part of Rome.
