A reissue from publisher Ammo Books of illustrator Charley Harper's 1974 classic, the tome is available with a yellow, pink, or orange cover and comes in a fabric-wrapped clamshell box. The exhuberant drawings of avians are a visual delight and the short passages are informative. Works equally well for kids or grown-ups on your list.
