I’ve had a lot of fun in 2019 leading guided tours all over London.
A few highlights… This year I qualified as a Westminster Guide with distinction🏅(very proud to do so) and was then delighted to join the tutor team on the course.
In October I had a blast leading friendly Norwegian🇳🇴 music fans with Paul Endacott & Music Heritage London in search of London’s rich music history. I’ve added new tours to my London Music Tours repertoire & I continue to meet lots of lovely people from all over the world on my beloved London Walks (I’ve also got new London Walks tours coming in 2020).
But some of the best fun was had going ON guided tours. Big shout out to New Orleans Architecture Tours for a superb tour of St Louis No1 Cemetery, to Glasgow Music City for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ morning of music history & to Hillary of Inside Chicago for her amazing bespoke tour of Chicago back in April.
This little video (above) is accompanied by a song traditional at New Year. It has its origins in my home country 🏴, the place where I first fell in love with great storytelling. (Where I come from, you’re never very far from a great storyteller.) Am I a wee bit sentimental? Of course. Sentimentality is the rising sign of #Hogmanay. But my thanks are sincere - thanks to everyone who joined me on a tour in 2019. I’m looking forward to getting out and about again from 2nd January. Come and join me.
