Nokia’s owner HMD Global may soon launch two new smartphones with their own branding. These two phones will be codenamed ‘Legend’ (Legend) and ‘LegendPro’ (LegendPro). Recently these two HMD brand smartphones appeared in Geekbench’s database. The said benchmarking site confirmed that the upcoming handsets will come under the budget-range.

HMD Global is launching two phones soon

Notably, the HMD handset codenamed Legend scored 379 and 1,370 points in the single-core and multi-core rounds respectively in the Geekbench 6.2 benchmark test. On the other hand, the HMD LegendPro model scored 373 and 1,384 points in the single-core and multi-core rounds, respectively.

According to the Geekbench listing, both the upcoming HMD Legend and LegendPro models will use an octa-core processor clocked at a peak frequency rate of 1.6 GHz. It will also have an integrated Mali G57 GPU. In this regard, it is believed that the upcoming device may be powered by dual Unisock T606 chipsets. Infinix Smart 8 HD, Tecno Spark Go 2024, and Itel P55+ phones were also launched with this same processor.

The listing also reveals that the HMD Legend and LegendPro will offer 4GB and 8GB of RAM respectively. Again, the latest Android 14 will be pre-loaded as an operating system. Other features of both the handsets are still under wraps.

Incidentally, earlier this month, HMD Global had announced the launch of the device under its own branding alongside the Nokia branding. A render of an HMD model was also leaked online at the time. Again now the information of the two phones has come forward. Due to which it is believed that the company might be planning to unveil its new smartphones under different ranges at the ‘Mobile World Congress’ (MWC 2024) event to be held on February 26.
