Having said all this I had to hitch hike on a motor bike from Banaue Junction to saddle point as I had a sprain in the calf muscle and I could not walk the steep hill.My daughter and her friend had earlier hitch hiked on a mini truck, who was transporting building material for the roadworks to Batad. They reached much in advance and took a guide to reach the Batad Rice terraces.I was sitting in the Tea shop and looking towards the Rainbow magic which was coming up in the sky after a brief rain and enjoying the UNESCO Rice terraces at far off..This blog post is the copyright of http://tobeontheroad.blogspot.com.
