You will start with a few things, such as a Hitch Sign, wooden stick, headwear flashlight, and bandaid. There are additional items you can collect along the route, such as SMG, Rifle, medkit, ammo, melee, and car parts.You need to search the ground where you are dropped, and you’ll find them anywhere. If there aren’t many adversaries around, it would be advisable to search the ground and get good loot in order to take down the adversary.
Common enemies and how to deal with them
Most NPCs are hostile towards you, so it’s good to keep a safe distance from them, but some will come close and attack you. Here is how you can deal with different enemies:
- Cult Member: Cult members are close-range attackers, and they can get inside houses, so it’s best to snipe them from afar or hit them while moving backward.
- Moose: These are the most annoying enemies by far, and getting rid of them is difficult. If you are near a house, get inside and hit them from there since they can’t come inside. If not, keep running and hitting them in between.
- Hunter: Hunters carry a gun with them, so it’s best to avoid them, but if they are chasing you, kill them as soon as possible.
- Police: Police are usually in a group at their station. To avoid them, pick the lock and run as quickly as you can to hitch a car and run away.
- Deer: These are the most dangerous enemies. They will not attack you, but if you attack them, they will one-shot and send you flying.
- Stalker: Lastly, this enemy will be stalking from afar but it didn’t do anything to me until the end, so it’s not lethal, but keep your distance.
How To Avoid Police In Hitch a Hike
The police car has to be one of the most annoying car in the game as they will take you down to 900m when you are carrying the sign and the moment they see you with the sign.
There are many methods of avoiding them, and the best one would be to see them in advance and ditch the hiking sign.Don’t get out of the car and if the policeman pursues you, run and jump into a place where he cannot get you there. Here, you may kill him with any projectile weapon or wait for him to despawn then complete the mission.
How to get Bones fast
Enemies you kill in the wild or while in the road kill, but there are some who kill more of them. The cultists, the moose, and the bears are the ones you should target for the bones.
The cultists are not difficult to kill and you should attack them from a distance whenever you have ammunitions in abundance.For the bears, lure them onto the highway where the cars will run them over. Last but not least, for the mooses, lure them to the vicinity where you are but cannot access them so you may attack and kill them.
How To Get Past The Toll Plaza in Hitch a Hike
On your way, you will find the toll plaza that has the robot guarding it. There could also be the hunter or the moose, but get into the safe place first and kill the robot that has been put there for guarding it.
Once the robot is dead, the path will open automatically. There isn’t any alternative and the only alternative to move forward is to kill the robot.
