Hit Man (2023) Review

Gary Johnson is a professor who moonlights as a pretend hit man for the city police department, but this will take his boring life into a whole different world when the dangers become so real.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The way Gary worked was having a different persona for the person he was meeting about a potential gun for hire job. He would get to know the person who requested the meeting in that short amount of time and if they decided to then make the payment, then that person would find themselves being arrested!

Everything was working out well for him and he was enjoying this new life away from his full time role of working as a Professor. He could be whoever he wanted to be and play up to those people who had pretty much lost it when wanting to have their spouse or family member killed.

However, when he meets Madison and doesn’t manage to get her to pay and or confess that she wanted her husband or soon to be ex-husband killed he embarks on a rather dangerous relationship with the woman and the persona he created just for her. It was naturally going to get very complicated as things progressed and he attempted to balance three different lives now.

Glen Powell certainly feels like the it man in hollywood right now and has fully taken over the past couple of years. He demonstrates some very good charm and persona in this film and given quite a free reign to go fully in with so many different performances within one and that is a massive highlight in all honesty.

I guess the craziest thing about this film is that it is actually based or should that be inspired by a real life story, unfortunately the real life Gary Johnson passed away during early production of the film and never got to see the film.
