History in the Making

while we do not yet know exactly what is going to happen next, we do know that history is int he making right now.
PM Benjamin Netanyahu just returned the mandate to President Rivlin.
President Rivlin now has to decide what to do with it. While it seems likely (to me) that he will give it to MK Yair Lapid next to try to form a government, he does not have to and does have other options, such as giving it to MK Naftali Bennett or giving it to the Knesset.
Either way, whatever he does with it next, for the first time in well over a decade someone other than Benjamin Netanyahu will be officially trying to form a government.
