When a Fairy Godmother bride tells us that she wants an elegant summer wedding on a ranch on the California coast, we knew just what to do! Blake and Teri were longtime loves, reliving their first date every day. Sharing a deep love for the outdoors and anything that brought out the cowboy, and cowgirl, in them. To bring these elements together for their wedding became the new mission. Light earth tones illustrated in the wardrobe and florals, brought in the country club elegance. Teri's gorgeous white gown, complete with embellishments, was the fairytale dress that she had always dreamed of. Santa Margarita Ranch was the perfect venue! A lush, green lawn focused around an old oak was set perfectly on the ranch to have the summer breeze flow through. We're All About the Details!
The historic Santa Margarita Ranch was first settled by Franciscan missionaries in the 1770's, and in 1841 it was given to a "colorful ranchero" who was well known for his elaborate fiestas and rodeos. 14,000 acres of wide open spaces with a rustic barn built entirely of aged and weathered wood, complimented the natural stone interior flawlessly.
Extra Special Details
Details that made the day magical were fish cookie favors, sharing one of their favorite pastimes. A heart cut-out of Teri's brothers tie sewn into her dress brought something borrowed and blue to the ranch. A custom "God Gave Me You" made up of iron letters hung above the couple. The sky was the limit, top to bottom was tailored for Teri and Blake, even includes custom drapery hung above the interior of the 200-year-old barn.
