Former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra and nine others were ordered to be released on bail by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday.
They were released on a surety of Rs.500,000 each. A group of protestors led by Hirunika Premachandra arrived at the outside of the main entrance to the former President’s official residence on July 06,
2022 to protest and to show displeasure over the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka.Following their arrest by Fort Police, they were released on Police bail. The Magistrate fixed further inquiries for July 7.
