The Hiller OH-23 Raven is a three-place, military light observation helicopter based on the Hiller Model 360. First flown in 1948, more than 1,600 Ravens were produced. The HTE-2 was the U.S. Navy version of the H-23B variant with 35 built. In 1953 the Royal Navy bought 20 ex-US Navy HTE-2s and used them as primary helicopter trainers under the designation Hiller HT.1 One participated in the Coronation Review Flypast in June 1953.
