The place to be for all things food and drink was (and still is today Sunday 19th October) the SECC Glasgow with BBC Good Food Show Scotland.
Attending this year are Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood as well as John Torode, James Martin and Tom Kitchin.

I was late arriving and missed the cutting of the ribbon, (as well as leaving the camera in the car!) but thankfully I pinched these pics from Paula at Get Stuffed.
Looks like a good crowd were there for the opening.

First stop was the Supertheatre where Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood were showing off their cooking skills and banter. They work really well together.
Mary made Swiss chicken, spinach and mushroom bake (wasn’t too keen on the look of this, needs more color for me!) as well as Lemon and Limoncello Posset – which looked delicious. Paul made some pistachio shortbreads to go with the posset.

Two lucky audience members were picked to try the dishes. Both loved the smells and tastes of the dishes – if only the smells wafted out into the audience more!
We were then free to wander about and discover what was on offer. I headed first to the bursary winners with Plan Bee (unit PB4). How could you ignore such dapper chaps!

Perthshire Preserves
Perthshire Preserves are another favorite of ours. (Unit A110) From their Callendar base come delights such as Double Espresso Marmalade, Beer Marmalade, Hot Banana chutney and much more!
You can find Kate and Iain at farmers’ markets as well as being able to buy from their online shop.
Scotia Spice
Next must must visit stall is Scotia Spice. I had heard great things from fellow bloggers Rachel at A Wee Pinch of Sugar and Lea at Off the Eaten Track. There are three kits available chicken, lamb and vegetable.
Each kit comes with recipes and spices to make some delicious looking dishes.

Yasmin and Pauline of Scotia Spice
I had to stop by The Big Cheese Making Kit (unit D93)We bought one of their kits a couple of years back and loved it. So easy to use. So back I went in search of more. I wasn’t disappointed, they now have Scottish Crowdie and Halloumi making kits on sale.

Mr Foodie is a big cheese lover and converted me to love Halloumi, so a purchase was made for his Christmas. Unfortunately, he found the package whilst helping me unpack later – argh!

The Wee Tea Company are great friends of ours. You can buy their tea online, or sup a cuppa at some fab places such as Gordon Street Coffee in Glasgow!

Seemingly their Ginger Chai is amazing in cakes (Get Stuffed is on the case!) and I have tried their Earl Grey and blue flower tea is excellent with gin – let some tea soak in gin for a little while, decant and enjoy!
Mark and Sue from Billingtons of Lenzie
Winners for a second year of Glasgow’s Best Deli is Billingtons of Lenzie. Mark and Sue are a lovely couple and the whole family are involved in the business.
Their passion for food, drink and helping customers find out about products is heart warming. Their handmade marshmallow is a must try and buy at the stall.
See porridge gives you muscles!
The Stoats stall (unit C64) had the strongest man at the show. Piles of Porridge pots and bars in a variety of flavours including Festive Fruit, which I think I’ll have to look out for.
No pressure, only scheduled between Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood!
It was time was time for the Interview Stage. I had been both excited and nervous about this all week.
Meeting Lotte Duncan put my mind at rest – a warm and lovely lady. I’d love a night out with her, such a fun personality.
The time flew by. We chatted about blogging, the food scene in Scotland, my favorite restaurants and what my guilty food is. Lotte was definitely suprised with my choice!

I had to peel myself away and get back to more stalls, but with folk like Dunkeld Salmon, Warner Edwards Gin, Ochil Fudge, Ramsay of Carluke and many more time was precious.
It was a fabulous day. We caught up with other bloggers we hadn’t seen in far too long a time as well as producers and friends we only get to chat to online. The day passed far too quickly, so much so I’m back tomorrow to check I didn’t miss anything out!
