Welcome to September! I am so happy because even though I love summer, I actually like Autumn that little bit more! I mean what is not to love about layering, rich fabrics, deep colours, hats and (personal fave), boots!
Sunday is normally my chill day and this Sunday was certainly one for that! I was a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding yesterday, so after a long day all I wanted to do was relax. Eventually after finally pulling myself out of bed and my PJs, hubby and I decided to go into town for a spot of something to eat. After eyeing up one of my friends snapchat in Milan, seeing him eating an Italian meat platter - that was all I could think about so off we went to find one!
Dress // Next High Neck Red Dress*, Jacket // Miss Selfridge Black Faux Leather Jacket.
Bag // Primark Cross Black Pom Bag, Boots // Next Leopard Print Pixie Boots*, Necklace // Accessorize Red Flower Necklace, Hat // Primark Black Fedora Hat
I was a little worried about wearing something so autumnal so soon into September. To keep it light I've obviously gone bear legged, and making it fun I've got some super cute leopard print pixie boots. The high neck dress from Next is statement piece and when I first saw it I loved it! I was slightly concerned it may look a bit shapeless, but with a long necklace it somehow worked. I reckon come October time when the autumn weather really kicks in, I'll be wearing it with my over the knee suede black boots.
The accessories in this outfit are from Primark and Accessorize. The fedora hat was only £8 from Primark, which I'm sure you'll agree is almost a staple item to have in black, especially moving into AW16 trends. The bag (also from Primark) was a bargain at £7, which I picked up from the new Fosse Park branch. Lastly the necklace is a long pendant with a red flower in it, and this was from Accessorize in the sale. I haven't gone crazy with accessories, because I don't think it needs very much.
Have you started switching your wardrobe over yet? I am totally ready to ditch the sandals, the shorts and the suncream, for boots, hats and knitwear! A little too soon maybe? Go on let me know what you can't wait to wear this autumn...
