First off, can we just talk about how it's been over 90 degrees the past four days? I mean.... lovely summer we are having this fall. ;) I had already rotated my closet, got all my cozy knits out and ready for the cooler temps, and was plotting some fun fall fashion to style here on the blog. And then, here comes a heatwave, and I'm not mad about it either, we've been soaking up all the sun we can get! That said, I've had to bring back out some of my favorite summer pieces to add into the daily rotation again. These lighter wash, high-waist jeans are one of those pieces. Another summer favorite of mine has been bodysuits, and I was excited I didn't have to wait until next summer to style this new Mickey Mouse one here on the blog.

Fun fact, I found this bodysuit at a shopping vendor while I was at Riot Fest in Chicago. It's made from a vintage tee and I can't believe I never thought to transform old t-shirts into bodysuits before! I mean, I can't sew, but I can easily find a pattern and try. Or have someone with sewing skills help me out. I feel a fun DIY project coming on for next summer!
I decided to pair the bodysuit with high-waist denim and an oversized cardigan. I added my red bow heels to bring a bit of Minnie Mouse into the look. I'm all about dressing age appropriate, but I am also all about allowing your fashion to be fun. What can I say, I don't think you are ever too old to rock a Mickey Mouse look!
