Alubomulla Police said that they raided a house in Kiriberiya, Panadura and arrested a couple said to be accomplices of leading drug trafficker ‘Panadura Salindu’ who were packing heroin in small bags at the time of the raid.

The police had seized heroin worth Rs.3 million, equipment including packing paper with the picture of the Pakistani cricket captain and more than 150,000 cash. Police found 320 grams of heroin, Rs.156,000 in cash, nearly 50,000 packing papers, two mini electric scales, five mobile phones, two motorcycles among ther equipment. Police said the packaging paper contained the images of Pakistan’s cricket captain and marvel comics, Batman and Hulk.

The suspects will be produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court seeking detention orders.
