Hero MotoCorp showcased their first maxi scooter Xoom 160 at the Milan Motorcycle Show or EICMA event in Italy. That was November 2023. And today the company's flagship scooter was officially launched on the first day of India Mobility Global Expo 2025. Sleek design and massive looks are the main attraction of Hero Xoom 160. Besides, it is quite affordable in terms of price.

Hero Xoom 160 Price and Design

The Hero Zoom 160 has been launched in the Indian market at Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom). The two competing models of the scooter in the country are Yamaha Aerox and Aprilia SR160. Their prices are Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 1.46 lakh respectively. Hero has already opened bookings for the scooter and deliveries are set to begin from March 2025.

Talking about the design, the Xoom 160 scooter has a long and sleek front apron and transparent visor. Along with the dual-chamber LED headlights and windscreen brings adventure style looks. This is undoubtedly the best design of all the scooters that Hero has brought in the market till date. The company has used LED lighting in the rear seat and taillight.

Hero Xoom 160 Engine and Features

The new Hero Zoom 160 scooter is powered by a 156 cc liquid cooled engine. It is capable of producing a maximum of 14 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 13.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. As a result, Hero can challenge powerful maxi-scooters like Aerox 155 and Aprilia SR160.

This scooter has LCD digital instrument console for viewing various information which supports Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Also, it will get keyless operation, LED illumination. Disc brakes are present at the front of the scooter. Rear wheel has drum brake. For suspension, there are telescopic forks at the front and monoshock units at the rear.
