Verdict on Here Today
Here Today is a comedy-drama following an aging comedy writer that has secretly been battling his own dementia. He finds a new friend to open up in his life while trying to rebuild the bridges with his family.
This is a powerful drama showing how difficult the early stages of dementia are. It shows how a life can be turned upside down in an instant and not opening up to people can make things more difficult. This does hit hard for Charlie who uses comedy to cope with his battle. Billy Crystal is amazing in the leading role, while Tiffany Haddish compliments him perfectly too.
Final Thoughts – Here Today is a hard hitting comedy drama.
